Class of 1959 Uses Zoom for Monthly Mini-Reunions

Sharon Chez Salcido ’59 and James Kilgore ’59 began exchanging e-mails regularly following the CHS ’59 60-year reunion in 2019. When they realized they were both participating in a lot of Zoom meetings with various community organizations, friends and relatives, they wondered if they should try it with CHS classmates.

In fall 2020, Sharon sent an e-mail to classmates proposing Zoom meetings. The response was positive, and the first meeting took place in October 2020. It was so successful, they scheduled monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month at 2 pm, beginning December 2020. Classmates are participating from Arizona, Oregon, Tennessee as well as California. CHS ’59 plans to continue Zooming in 2021 and beyond.
